The folks at Warner have released a new video that shows off the weapon upgrade system in Shadow of Mordor. The system is based around runes that you earn after defeating high powered enemies in the game. The bigger the foe, the bigger the reward you get for your efforts. Want to score an epic rune? Well you're going to have to do a little orc social engineering.
I'm digging the style of the game and it is kind of interesting that when your weapons are upgraded to a certain level they can actually cause enemies to run in fear when you brandish them. If you haven't checked out the previous video do so as it gives you a bit more backstory on the game and provides a bit more context around Talion, the protagonist in the game.
We'll be sure to check out the game next month at E3 and see if it lives up to the awesomeness we've seen in the last few videos.
