I would have thought that yesterday's info packed Nintendo Direct would be all the Mario Kart 8 news we would get this week, but Nintendo has decided to follow up yesterday's big reveals more information, this time the full track list for the game. As is par for the series Mario Kart 8 features 16 all new courses, 16 courses from previous games, and 8 battle stages. You can see the full list on the nintendo.co.uk site.
I'm happy to see a few of my old favorites will be making a return in beautiful HD. A few tracks I am especially excited for are Moo Moo Meadows, Music Land, and Yoshi Valley. As usual I expect these courses will be retro fitted with the new anti-gravity racing mechanic, so it will be interesting to see how that effects their layouts. As for the new courses, I wonder if we will see any more of the giant single lap courses introduced in Mario Kart 7 make a return. I wasn't a big fan of those courses in 7, but maybe they just need a second chance.
