There were mixed reports coming from Beenox about the state of The Amazing Spider Man 2 on Xbox One. While the game was set to launch today on 360, PS3, Wii U and 3DS, the XB1 version had apparently hit a delay.
Well, apparently XB1 owners can get their web on today, but they'll have to settle for a digital copy. According to IGN, retailers are listing the XB1 boxed version of the game for a July 1st release, but you can still grab the game in ones and zeroes format on Xbox Live. If you have any of the other platforms, however, you should be able to get Amazing Spider Man 2 in physical format today as usual.
Personally I'm a hard copy guy--call me a paranoid old man, but there's something solid and reassuring about holding a disc in your hand, even if it's less convenient sometimes. How about you, dear readers? Will you XB1 Spidey fans wait until July to get your fix, or will you download it?
