America watched the lunar eclipse of a blood moon on Monday night, and we're not talking Morrowind expansions. Windows' Cortana joined the digital-assistant war with Apple's Siri and Google Now. And PAX East quietly wrapped up, with little else but Civilization: Beyond Earth making any kind of splash.
What are you playing this weekend?

I've taken to playing another game that I hadn't even opened up and posting the results over on YouTube. This time around I'm finally playing the Devil May Cry series starting from the first game (for the record, I'm using the Devil May Cry HD Collection for the Xbox 360). Outside of playing a bit of Devil May Cry 2, the demo for DmC, and playing around with Dante, Virgil, and Trish in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, I have no experience with the series, so this should be interesting. Anyone wanting to keep up with my progress can check out the playlist here.

I'm wrapping up review on FIFA World Cup 2014 for Xbox 360 currently. After that, I will dive back into Dark Souls II to wrap that up for review as well. I would imagine I'll start play on MLB 14: The Show by the weekend.

I'm reveling in patriotic glory for my preview of Broforce. This has to be one of my favorite indie games in quite a while. Tense 16-bit action, excessive retro carnage, and a roster packed with how-did-they-not-get-sued action hero tribute bros. It's even better in co-op! Time to give those terrorists a taste of white hot democracy. Go 'Murrica.

I'm still recovering a bit from my recent trip to Budapest, home to developer Neocore Games, where I was able to play through the upcoming Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II. This weekend I plan to continue playing through The Elder Scrolls Online for my upcoming review. In addition, I hope to check out the recently-released alpha of ArcheAge.

I'm chock full of new games this week as I picked up Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut for the Xbox One last weekend, and then took advantage of Target's buy-two-get-one-free deal and picked up Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, inFAMOUS: Second Son, and South Park: The Stick of Truth. I'm focusing on Strike Suit Zero right now, but I have a feeling I'll be firing up Reaper of Souls this weekend as I started getting back into Diablo III last week.

I'm still reeling from The Wolf Among Us – Episode 3: A Crooked Mile. But World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition deployed Update 1.1, meaning the U.K. just got a medium tank line, the Himmelsdorf map—with its massive castle overlook—was added, and now I can customize crew skills to my playstyle (which, for me, is flexible and fast-moving...for a tank). Also maybe Hitman: Absolution. I can't help but compare it to Deus Ex: Human Revolution's brand of stealth, and I can't help but like Hitman's handling of that stealth much, much more.

After previewing Grim Dawn, I've gotten a mighty hankering for some online mulitplayer role-playing games. And since Grim Dawn isn't online yet, I'll probably dive back into Torchlight II. It's been a while since I played. You don't need to feed your pets, right?

I'm exploring the Magical Kingdom because Charles hooked it up with a copy of Disney Magical World. I'm also working on balancing out my bard in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn to make it more effective in runs of Bahamut's Coil. Beyond that, it's kind of a dry time for me. Not much on the radar that I care to play, so maybe I'll start digging through that massive backlog I've accumulated over the years.
