A few weeks back we reported on Valve's Dota 2 documentary Free to Play. Now the documentary has officially released and is free to download via Steam. The documentary follows three of the game's most famous players, Dendi, hyhy, and Fear, as they fight to become professional Dota 2 players and make it to the game's biggest tournament, The International. Early reviews from fans of the game have been very positive, and I can't wait to watch it for myself. If you don't feel like downloading the whole movie you can also watch it for free on YouTube.
I've been a fan of Dota 2 for about a year now, and I especially love watching it played competitively. However we rarely get a chance to see into the personal lives of our favorite players, so hopefully Free to Play will offer some insight into what it takes to be an esport athlete at the top of their game.
