Star Citizen just reached $40 million in crowdfunding, which is about $39.5 million more than most crowdfunded games get. Titanfall's launch went swimmingly, frustrating a nation of EA haters. And GOG.com reversed its decision to enact region-specific pricing. Good on you, GOG.
What are you playing this weekend?

I'm still trudging through The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, but I'm making progress. I'm down to about three dungeons left, so hopefully I can get through that this weekend. Aside from that, I also have been working on a pretty sadistic self-imposed challenge. Remember the original Metroid? Remember how tough that game can be? Ever try clearing it with just the bare minimum number of items collected? Yeah, that's the idea; to clear the original Metroid (or at the very least make it to the final area, Tourian) with just the Morph Ball, Bombs, and one Missile Tank. I haven't put anything up on YouTube yet as I'm waiting to finish the entire project first, but it's going far better than expected so far.

This weekend I'll be dropping Titans and noobs in Titanfall. I'm still learning the maps that weren't in the beta but so far the game is a lot of fun and there's a lot more here than the beta let on. I'll also be logging some time with Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and a lot of Threes.

I've finally found it. All these years I've wondered what my Call of Duty would be, what my Battlefield would look like. Where was the competitive multiplayer game that would be my game that I'd play each week, stomping newbies and chestbumping clan bros? Well, it's World of Tanks. That's the one. My search is over. Whenever I get 10 minutes to spare, I'm dying to fire it up. When community events unlock new maps, or when Wargaming.net inserts new tanks into the tree, I want to learn the lay of the land and get my hands on those new vehicles ASAP. Hello, World of Tanks. Where have you been all my life?

I got Dark Souls II on launch and I've already contributed a fair amount of deaths to the well over 10 million there are already. That will probably take up most of my time, but since I just got a PS4 I feel obligated to check out some Resogun and Outlast before next week's inFAMOUS: Second Son comes out. When I'm not at a TV I'll be killing my phone battery with more Threes.

Dark Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls! So if you hadn't heard Dark Souls II came out on Tuesday. I attended a midnight release and then celebrated by playing for nine hours straight (sadly then I had to go to class. No regrets!). Because I adore Dark Souls so much I had plenty of concerns about the change in development team for the second game, but I can safely say that all of those concerns were unfounded. The game is fantastic, destined to achieve the same love and infamy as its predecessor—deaths and all.

I'll be hacking away at Diablo III trying to get some more Paragon levels and money while waiting on the expansion pack. I've cut down a lot on Battlefield 4 because of issues I keep seeing, but I might pop back in for a bit. I'm still not sold on picking up Titanfall yet though since I know of only one person who has it on the PC. The rest of the friends I play with seem to have bypassed it for now.
