PlayStation 4 just high-fived everyone standing at the 6-million-units-sold marker, and Xbox One is trucking along at 3.5 million. Steam will hand over price controls to publishers. And, relieving Matt Stone and Trey Parker's fears, South Park: The Stick of Truth is doing well and did not "get a [expletive] 4 on GameSpot."
What are you playing this weekend?

With my Cloudbuilt preview wrapped up I can finally play something that doesn't involve me falling off of platforms every 30 seconds. I'll probably fire up Final Fantasy VII a bit to do some more Limit grinding with Aerith. I'm slowly getting there as I've unlocked her first Level 2 Limit Break, but it's definitely a long process. Then again, I probably didn't pick the best of grinding spots either.

I just got Resident Evil 4 Ultimate Edition on Steam, so I'll be reviewing that game for what seems like the twelfth time. So far it's the same old magic that has utterly escaped Capcom since early 2005, although the Wii version controls will always be the last word on RE4 for me.

Well, I finally bit the bullet and bought my daughter a 2DS last night along with New Super Mario Bros. 2. I am sure that I will spend some time this weekend playing that with her as well as throwing in time into my soon-to-be-founded town in Animal Crossing: New Leaf (which I will proudly admit that I bought for myself). When I am not reliving childhood memories in Nintendo Land, I will be hacking and slashing my way through the rest of Diablo 3, a game in which I am fashionably late to experiencing but loving through and through.

Civilization Revolution is free on Xbox Games with Gold. I'd dismissed it. I mean, I'd played 20 years' worth of Civilization games on PC. They're great, I know they're great, and I didn't need another Civ. Then I downloaded Civ Rev on 360 and ran a randomly chosen nation (Tokugawa's Japan) all the way from 3000 B.C. to colonizing Alpha Centauri by 1960 A.D. It was awesome. And fast. And fun. Very kinectic. Very punchy. Quite challenging. Stupid Gandhi. You made me eliminate you first. You brought that on yourself. And, as always, Civ makes it hard to find a stopping point.

I made the mistake of cleaning out my dresser and finding my GameCube copy of The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. So I'll be spending an irresponsible amount of time Master Questing in Hyrule this weekend. It also reminded me that I've never beaten the Master Quest for the original Legend of Zelda. And I never beat Zelda II either. And I haven't played Link to the Past in a while. I think my March weekends just got booked solid.
