The World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition launch is going off without a hitch. I quickly downloaded the client, the client immediately downloaded the game, and I was blasting my way through an orgiastic pileup of World War II era tanks within 15 minutes.
Developer Wargaming.net released a cavalcade of screenshots coinciding with the global launch of the Xbox 360 Edition. Hero shots, action shots, frame by frame cannon blast shots, tanks playing peek-a-boo around buildings shots – basically all the shots you can imagine taking out in the field.
World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition is sitting on the homepage of your Xbox 360 as we speak. If you're an Xbox Live Gold subscriber, the game is free to play. If you're Silver, you can still download a seven-day trial to give you a tank-laden taste of what you're missing; and trust me, World of Tanks can be a pretty good time.
With the Xbox 360 Edition now out in the wild, look for our upcoming review. It will uncover differences (where it's enhanced, where it's diminished) between it and our PC review of World of Tanks from 2011.
