Not much new stuff hits the eShops this week, but the Virtual Console gets another classic...and no it's not Super Mario Bros. 3. Seriously Nintendo, when are we going to get the best game to ever hit the NES on the Wii U and 3DS? It's right there, all you have to do is release it. Then again I'm still waiting on the rest of the Game Boy Mega Man lineup from Capcom, but I digress.
This week's Virtual Console release is Castlevania II on both the Wii U and 3DS. Say what you will but I enjoyed it on the NES. Sure it has its flaws and the final battle with Dracula is the easiest final boss in gaming history for your typical NES game, but I still have fun with it...plus I have it on the Wii's VC so it's only a dollar for the upgrade for me.
In other eShop news, F1 Race Stars: Powered Up Edition and Unepic both hit the Wii U eShop today. I've seen the trailer for Unepic and it looks fun, so I might have to give that one a shot soon. Also, Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl will be on sale on the 3DS eShop for $20 off from January 20th to the 27th. Trust me when I say that if you like dungeon crawlers and other types of RPGs, you'll want to give this one a shot, or at the very least check out the demo.
