One thing that's always bothered me about Killzone is that it's rather black and white: the Helghast are always the bad guys. When I heard what Shadow Fall was trying to do, I was intrigued: they were telling "the wall comes down in space" story, like Star Trek before them. These new behind the scenes dev diaries go into detail about that approach, focusing on the game's story and motion capture direction. As always, I have a lot of respect for the actors doing these cutscenes. You have to be a damn fine actor to pull of that kind of pathos while wearing one of those mocap suits, working with a bunch of other actors who also have dots painted all over their faces.
