Huzzah! Another company is doing away with the dreaded Season Pass. There's been issues with Assassin's Creed IV and getting access to certain features that are available when one enter's in their season pass code from the game.
Because of these issues, Ubisoft has issued a statement saying they are removing the restriction so anyone can play multiplayer, use the companion app, and access other online features.
Well, not only is Ubisoft removing the season pass requirement from Assassin's Creed IV, NO FUTURE UBISOFT GAME WILL UTILIZE UBISOFT PASSPORT.
That's a great step for Ubisoft, who's had some very bad history with DRM. It takes a lot of people speaking up, but I'm glad that Ubisoft is finally listening. I'm hoping they will go back and remove this from past games as well. Kudos to Ubisoft for listening to the people.
