So not surprising, another Xbox One launch window title has been pushed back later into 2014. This time it is Kinect Sports Rivals, which is a bit of a bummer, as this was the one title that would probably show off the upgraded capabilities of the new Kinect camera. Although the game will be delayed, Major Nelson brings word of a somewhat silver lining. On launch date (Nov 22nd), there will be a free download called Kinect Sports Rivals Preseason that will allow players to test out the Kinect with just the wake racing.
The Kinect Sports Rivals Preseason will be available from 11/22/13 until March 2014, and will have monthly challenges to allow players to earn points and in-game rewards. Apparently, there will also be a Kinect Sports Rivals Hub that will be available for download on 11/22 that will allow players to track their progress in challenges and keep tabs on their closest competitors. Here are the complete details on Kinect Sports Rivals Preseason directly from Major Nelson:
