Want to see what your
Sim City will be up to 50 years from now? Well you can with the new expansion pack
Cities of Tomorrow, which is in development for PC, MAC and will arrive on November 12th.
Cities of Tomorrow will allow players to take their cities 50 years into the future. You can use new technologies, and experimental urban planning techniques to shape their cities into a utopia of clean technologies or a land of hyper-commercialism.
With the new expansion, you can run your city how you imagine it might be 50 years from now.
“Will the world of tomorrow be a utopia powered by clean energy or an industrial society consumed by mass commercialism? said Patrick Buechner, General Manager of Maxis Emeryville.
Some new features in the game include a new transportation system called MagLev, fusion reactors, tidal wave generators, and drones that serve Sims and can build massive MegaTowers. The expansion will also include new regions, city specializations, and cities can now be build vertically with enormous multi-zoned MegaTowers that go high into the sky. Education and research will now allow players to discover technology that make their cities less polluted and reliant on natural resources. Finally, a new disaster event in which a giant robot terrorizes your city will be available in the expansion as well. No word on what that is just yet.
The expansion will cost $29.99 and you can pre-order now on Origin and
www.SimCity.com. Remember that this is an expansion pack so this will require you own the
Sim City base game as well.
