The second patch
in as many weeks for
Total War: Rome II goes live as soon as you fire up your game. This patch optimizes campaign performance, speeds up the overly long amount of time the AI was taking on its turn, adds additional options and guidance for tweaking the settings on your game, and racks up "over 100 other changes and fixes." I don't know if that's a relief or not. Something tells me
Rome II would've benefited from one of those extended (albeit paid for) beta periods,
a la Minecraft, where players could've tested this stuff out for a few months before the game shipped.
