A moment of clarity

I had plans to be in line for a PS3 yesterday. I had a car full of cold weather gear, food, and stuff to keep me busy during the night. I even had Ben setup to drop off a tent so that I would get rained on during the night. It made sense to me to get one as we didn't make Sony's short list for a review unit and it would be nice to have one at launch but then I asked myself one question:
"Is it worth it to wait overnight in the cold and wet so that I can spend $600 to play Resistance: Fall of Man"
and
"Do I really want to hang out with a bunch of people who are going to scalp the game on eBay"
The answer to both questions was no and between that and Dan's recon reoport on the line yesterday pretty much meant that instead of freezing my ass off in a tent on hard cement with a bunch of strangers that I would spend a warm night in my own bed. I can't say that I regret the situation that much as I know I'll probably score one by the end of the year. That said, I know I'll be getting up early Sunday to swing by and pick up a Wii on Sunday morning.
