All You Can Arcade drops an arcade machine in your living room for $75 a month (if you live in sunny California, at least). Load up a YouTube video, type "1980" outside of a text box, and turn your video into
Missile Command. And Major Nelson posted a video dissecting an Xbox One controller so you can identify all the exploded parts when you throw it against a wall.
What are you playing this weekend?

I'll be at GenCon this weekend, so Lord knows what all I'll be playing. For the hotel room, my friend and I will likely be firing up
Torchlight II, giving me my first taste of that; I've come incredibly close to finishing the first one. As for the actual convention, I'll be getting a chance to go hands-on with a couple upcoming games in the Might & Magic series, so be on the lookout for a preview of those, especially since I haven't played an M&M game since
Heroes of Might & Magic V.

It's pretty much going to be a
SMITE weekend for me. I love finding games like this that I knew nothing about, and then all of a sudden I'm completely hooked. I was going to play
Payday 2, until I discovered that, for whatever reason, the Xbox digital version won't be released until next Friday. Seriously, what's up with that? I was so excited to play today. Imagine my disappointment when I went to the Xbox Live Marketplace and it wasn't there. I know the PC and PS3 versions are ready to download now, what happened with Xbox? Oh well, I waited this long, I guess one more week isn't that bad. At least the Xbox community is getting the game this time around

This is going to be a busy, but fun, weekend. I picked up
Saints Row: The Third--The Full Package edition and I'm digging into that. I tend to do that these days: wait a year or so for the inevitable game-of-the-year edition to come out with all the downloadable content included on-disc, so I don't get nickled and dimed on all the extras. I'm also reviewing
Earthbound, freshly released on the Wii U Virtual Console. I never had the chance to try the offbeat role-playing game before, mostly because original cartridge is ludicrously rare and expensive, so I'm glad Nintendo actually put a game everyone wants on the Virtual Console for a change.

Haven't heard back from
EVE Online's EVE University. Must've said something in my application that raised a red flag. Perhaps I should've omitted, "I'm a shameless blogger exploiting people's personal trust and information for the sake of scooping a story." Meanwhile, on the zombie-ridden
Organ Trail, the ol' station wagon has survived from DC to Chicago, so far. All I know is, Chuck, John, and Jeremy have done nothing on this trip (nothing!) except catch cholera, measles, and, of course, that old enemy of the large intestine: dysentery. Great chiptune soundtrack to ride to, though.

I'm continuing my
Cave Story journey from last weekend. Protecting bunny-peoples from mutant bunny-peoples and saving the world turned out to be a pretty great. Oh, who am I kidding, I just picked up the Humble Origin Bundle, so I'll be playing as much
Mirror's Edge as I can fit into my weekend.
