The folks at EA Sports have announced that the demo for
NHL 14 will be available on August 20th for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The demo will contain a sampler of all of the
improvements over last year's game like the new physics and fighting engines, the new one touch deke system, and the improved Hockey Ultimate Team mode. Here's a video overview of what we will be downloading next week.
The real attraction, at least for me though, is the new NHL 94 mode as I want to see if all of the modern iterations of the franchise have ruined me for the old arcade like game that I spent so much time playing in college. Given the spectrum of opinions on the
DuckTales reboot I'm interested to see if my memories of the game hold up or not.
I'm still a little disappointed that we aren't getting an Xbox One/PlayStation 4 of the game but from talking to the team at E3 they said the team wasn't big enough to get a quality game out this year in time for the launch.
