So apparently EA has decided that if you want to create your own hockey player and NHL 14, you can add a little personality to him with the Live the Life Mode. Taking a page from RPGs and The Sims, living the life means your homegrown character has to deal with the consequences, good and bad, that come with being an NHL’er. So actions such as being a d*ck to a fan seeking an autograph, or trashing your previous team after getting traded will impact your likeability, endorsements and so on. Don’t take my word for it, take a look at the new video released today by EA that gives a little perspective on whether you will be looked upon as a great like Mark Messier or a villain like Claude Lemieux.
