PSP gets hijacked by Pirates!

Sid Meier's Pirates will soon be available on the Sony PSP system per a 2K release yesterday. After being launched successfully on the PC and Xbox, the appeal to bring it to the PSP was there.

"Sid Meier's Pirates! is already a proven success," said Christoph Hartmann,
President of 2K. "The universal appeal and compelling gameplay in Pirates!
makes it a perfect match for the PSP system."

Unique to the PSP version will be wireless Ad-Hoc multiplayer for up to four players, widescreen graphics and new treasure hunts. Sid Meier's Pirates is scheduled to be available to PSP owners in January of 2007 and will have an ESRB rating of 10+.

In Sid Meier's Pirates!, a strategy/adventure game, players take the role of

feared pirates in history. Players test their skills as a sea captain

detailed 3D world. Additional features for the PSP system include wireless
