EA Sports will remove Aaron Hernandez from all games
Unfortunately, sometimes news that comes out is not happy and all bright rays of sunshine. Aaron Hernandez, who has been charged with First Degree Murder in Massachusetts, is being systematically removed from all EA Sports games effective immediately. This was announced last week as part of an update on the upcoming release of Madden 25, however what wasn't addressed was that Hernandez is included on the Ultimate Team mode of NCAA Football 14. Over the weekend, EA Sports revealed that the game was already being shipped out and it was too late to pull him out of the game's UI. Never fear, though, as EA Sports has said that the cards involving Hernandez will be removed from every person who has him currently. The card will be replaced with another player, reportedly to be Alex Smith, ex-Utah quarterback. This is a necessary move for EA Sports during the trial, especially if Hernandez is found guilty.
Hernandez was released from the New England Patriots on 26 June, 2013, just a couple of hours after he was arrested at his home in North Attleboro, Massachusetts.
