Just because the first “season” of
Injustice: Gods Among Us DLC has ended, it doesn’t mean that Ed Boon and company don’t have more up their sleeve. Boon has hinted for a while that more characters could be on the way, but recent information leaks may point to even more.
First off, Nethrealm has reported that they will be revealing a new batch of character DLC at this week’s EVO event. Boon tweeted out the following earlier this week:
“”Today, we’re announcing, that tomorrow (Tuesday) we’re announcing, that at EVO we will be revealing new info on future INJUSTICE DLC.”
There are a million possibilities for additional characters that could be added to the game but I just hope that they stay within the DLC universe and don’t branch out ala Scorpion again. The first of the new batch of characters will be shown via trailer prior to the Injustice finals on Sunday.
There could be even more announcements coming as well as Amazon has posted a listing for a Game of the Year version of Injustice launching in November. Such a package isn’t that surprising, we see it all of the time, but what is shocking is that the listing includes both a PC and Vita release. You can count me in for a Vita version on day one despite already having the 360 and all of the DLC. Hopefully this announcement comes this weekend as well.
