It seems as though I missed a title in yesterday’s Now Loading post as a firm release date has just been placed on the highly anticipated State of Decay. Developer Undead Labs announced the game way back in 2009 and it is finally being released tomorrow on the Xbox Live Arcade for 1600 Microsoft points.
If you aren’t familiar with the project, it is an open-world MMO-esque type game set during the zombie apocalypse. Rather than a heavy focus on fighting the undead, the main focus here is survival. You will be challenged to scavenge and manage resources as well as scout suitable camps and safe houses for your party. The only downfall the I see with the project is that the game is single-player only, despite the fact that the concept just screams for multiplayer. It looks like an incredibly game though and something I might just have to pick up when it launches tomorrow.
