One of the greatest, and easily most under-appreciated games of the current generation is Ubisoft’s Rayman Origins. I still play the game to this day on the Vita and consider it one of the must-have titles not only for the portable platform, but this console generation in general. Needless to say, as excited as I was to see the upcoming Rayman Legends go multi-platform, I was saddened to see the Vita left off of the list of systems getting a port. This week Ubisoft has taken my frown and turned it upside down!
Rayman Legends is in fact headed for Sony’s portable console and it looks every bit as amazing as it does on the consoles. The Vita version will include full, multiplayer support and all of the great platforming gameplay, and then some. Ubisoft has stated that the handheld version will include five exclusive maps in addition to the main game. Some of the characters in the game a re also getting some Vita-exclusive costumes as well! Suddenly the handheld version seems to be the one to get when the game launches this Fall.
