Nintendo has been teasing a new installment in the Pikmin series for quite some time. For many people, including myself, it was the one title that had me excited for the Wii U, but now that the new system has been released, we’re still left waiting for it. The wait won’t be that much longer as Nintendo has announced that Pikmin 3 will launch on August 4, 2013.
The official announcement was made during the Nintendo Direct presentation earlier this week. This time around players will control three different leaders at once, each of which will have their own horde of Pikmin to direct at their will. There are also a couple of new types of Pikmin being added to the series including rock and winged pikmin.
