InXile's crowd-funded, story-driven RPG, set in Monte Cook's Numenera universe,
Torment: Tides of Numenera, released a single screenshot today. It's an exterior shot taken from within the Bloom which sounds pretty evil given the context. Actually, the Bloom is a giant inter-dimensional predator. So yeah, that sounds terrifying, especially since much of the game takes place inside this giant inter-dimensional predator. Gross.
The shot uses a 2D pre-rendered background technique because apparently it's important that we know that. InXile also announced that New York Times best-selling fantasy author Pat Rothfuss is on board to help write the story and that Chris Avellone will going the team if it reaches the $3.5 million dollar mark.
