Overall I'm pretty happy with the Wii U, especially since the post-launch drought is finally clearing up and it's getting some decent software. That said, my main problem with it is the agonizingly sluggish OS. Sometimes it can take up to 30 seconds to just go from one screen to another. Thankfully Nintendo has acknowledged this embarrassing issue and they'll have a firmware update next month to address it. They even have a comparison video between a console before and after the update. This is one thing I really like about Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata--he admits the mistakes Nintendo has made, apologizes profusely for them and promises to fix them. It's a far cry from the Nintendo I remember from the 80s and 90s. I just wish this Wii U update had come a little sooner.
