It appears that sadly the Wii-U has lost yet another exclusive title but on the bright side it just means that PS3 and Xbox owners will now get to play
Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge as it heads to those respective consoles on April 2nd of this year.
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razors Edge its an updated version of the original game with three playable female ninjas including Ayane and Kasumi from Dead Or Alive, a new game mode, a new battle system, enhanced enemy AI, a Ninja upgrade system, expanded online features with bonus content and much more.
Ninja Gaiden 3 was met with less than generous reviews when it was first released and I think the number one complaint I heard was about the number of quick time events. Well the number of QTE's in Razors Edge has been significantly reduced. Other gameplay changes you can expect are improved enemy AI and the return of dismemberment. The Ninja skills system will let players use Karma that they have earned in combat to freely buy weapon and Ninpo upgrades, feats and costumes. Ayane gets her own chapters in story mode and all three female ninjas can be used in Chapter Challenge mode and Ninja Trials co-op.
Speaking of new modes Team Ninja has outlined what to expect in the chapter challenge mode. Players compete for the highest possible score for each chapter of the story and Hayabusa will have six different weapons available for him including the new Jinran-Maru & Blade for dual swords, Lunar Staff, and Kusari-gama. Inferno, Wind Blades and Piercing Void have also been added as new Ninpo. New Tests of Valor challenges has players finding crystal skulls hidden in each level to be transported to face off against familiar bosses from the Ninja Gaiden series.
Finally the online features in Ninja Gaiden 3 have been expanded with all the previous paid DLC available as a bonus. Players can also use Karma to purchase up to 64 customizable features for the unknown ninja used in multiplayer clan battle which support up to eight players. Five new stages have been added.
Phew.... thats a lot of content. Needless to say if you missed out on Ninja Gaiden 3 then you should hold off a bit longer and get
Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge.
