The DC universe is expanding in Injustice: Gods Among Us

As April rapidly approaches, the release of NetherRealm’s Injustice: Gods Among Us looms. Ed Boon and company’s take on the DC universe is looking as impressive technically as it is visually. Over the past couple of week’s there have been numerous leaks regarding the playable characters of the game.

The roster is shaping up to be one of the most diverse and interesting we’ve seen in a fighting game. We figured that it was time to catch everyone up to date with a list of the confirmed characters for the game. The playable roster currently stands at 15 of DC’s finest heroes and villains, including:
  • Bane
  • Batman
  • Catwoman
  • Cyborg
  • Deathstroke
  • Flash
  • Green Arrow
  • Green Lantern
  • Harley Quinn
  • Joker
  • Lex Luthor
  • Nightwing
  • Solomon Grundy
  • Superman
  • Wonder Woman
There are also a number of other characters confirmed for the game, but is is unknown if they will appear in playable fashion or just in the form of cameo appearances. Those include:
  • Aquaman
  • Ares
  • Black Adam
  • Captain Marvel
  • Doomsday
  • Raven
  • Sinestro
The game will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U on April 16, 2013.
