For anyone who saw the BCS Championship game this past Monday evening, it definitely wasn't Notre Dame's finest hour to say the least. However, despite getting crushed by Alabama, they still accomplished something that the Crimson Tide didn't: they garnered the most votes of any of the thirty-two teams advancing past the first round of cover voting for the next installment of
NCAA Football. With over 630,000 votes, the Fighting Irish toppled other schools such as Michigan, Oregon, Stanford, and especially the Crimson Tide.
The polls are currently open for round two of voting over on the
NCAA Football Facebook page, and after each round of voting the field will be halved until there is a winner. Check out the official press release for the list of schools and the voting schedule. As much as I wanted to see Notre Dame defeat Alabama, my vote will still be going to OSU.
