Oh man do I remember ID Software's
Rage: it looked amazing, all the trailers for it were amazing, but the game itself was a bit on the under whelming side. Hopefully, if they ever get around to making a sequel, it will be everything I had hoped
Rage would be.
And if they are making a sequel, then I can't think of a better way to remind people that the game existed in the first place than with DLC released after everyone has forgotten about it.
Perhaps that's what we have with
Rage: The Scorchers - DLC released over a year after the game was released to remind people that
Rage existed
The Scorchers are a brand-new clan of post-apocalyptic mutants that you must band together with new allies to defeat.
The Scorchers also included a new highest difficulty level called "Ultra-Nightmare," and it adds the option to keep playing after the
Rage's ending so you can finish collection quests and achievements.
Rage: The Scorchers is out now. You can download it for the Xbox 360 and PC for $4.99 (400MSP). PS3 owners will have to wait. Right now, your release window is "later today."
