As if you didn’t see this one coming: Sony has
revealed the first leg of its DLC plans for the recently released
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Our review of the game is coming very, very soon, but just know right off that its great and thanks to this announcement, it is going to get even better!
The first batch of DLC will launch for the game in January and bring 2 new playable characters to the roster: Gravity Rush’s Kat and Starhawk’s Emmitt Graves. Also being released is an entirely new level for the game entitled Fearless. Kat and Emmett really need no introduction; both characters will bring their own unique styles to the game including Emmitt’s ability to utilize the build-and-battle features of Starhawk in the game. Fearless on the other hand is a new and exciting map that mixes the worlds of Heavenly Sword and Wipeout.
The exact release date for this content has yet to be announced, but it is expected early in 2013 (possibly January). The best part is that while the DLC will eventually have a price tag associated with it, Sony and Superbot will offer it for free for the first 2 weeks of its availability.
