The first week has come and gone for Nintendo's new console, the
Wii U. So how well did it do? For sales, it's on par with the previous first week of the Xbox 360.
Reggie Fils-Aime
talked with CNET and revealed that 400,000 units were sold in the first week of release. The 360, like I said, did about the same business when it was released 2005. That console was also sold at $299, but adjusted for inflation it would be around $380 today.
Now, we won't know if this is a success or not. Some folks are saying they had shortages. I personally saw a bunch of units on Sunday when it was launched late in the afternoon, but that doesn't really mean much as it's just one store in one city in the United States.
If you picked one up, how much are you enjoying Nintendo's latest system?
