The Xbox 360 started it. The PlayStation 3 has it. The
Wii U? No, no it won't.
I'm talking about an achievement system that we've come to know on the 360 and the PS3. All games have various achievements that go towards a global score. Seems like something that should be pretty standard these days for consoles, right?
Well, forget it on the Wii U. Nintendo's leaving it up to the developers to implement this themselves as there isn't one that's provided by Nintendo as
confirmed by 5th Cell. Now, is this a big deal? I guess it depends on the person.
I'm not one to care about achievements. I don't go out of my way to get some of them like a lot of folks do. Doesn't mean I don't think it's worth it to be part of a console. Maybe Nintendo will see it differently and implement it later on like the PlayStation 3's Trophy system. Still, it seems like something that should be there in the first place.
