MechWarrior Online Beta open to all next week

Next week everyone will be able to check out the MechWarrior Online beta as Pirahna Games announced today that they will be moving the game into  open beta on October 16th.  Ben posted his impressions of the beta already and I have to agree with almost everything he wrote as I've been in he beta since I picked up the Founders package a few months back.  

The game scratches that mech itch like no other game since MechWarrior 4 and the amount of customization you can do on your mech is impressive (and getting better with every patch).  It takes a while to find the mech configuration that matches your play style but once you do the game really grabs you.  For me I've latched onto a brawler version of the 100 ton Atlas mech.  I don't do a lot of damage at long range but once I get in close the battles don't last long.
