Nintendo planning two events to celebrate the launch of Pokemon Black 2 and White 2

Nintendo has a couple of events planned to celebrate the launch of Pokemon Black 2 and White 2.  First, fans can head over to The Nintendo World store in New York from 9am to 2pm on October 6th for a chance to be among the first gamers in the nation to pick up the games prior to their launch date of October 7th.  Also, the first 1,000 people in line to get either game will get a unique Pokemon scarf, and everyone will get the chance to take photos with the Pokemon Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott.

Second, on October 13th at the New York Comic-Con, fans can take part in a massive interactive experience at a nearby launch celebration that includes a wide array of activities that highlights the fun of the Pokemon series.  Activities include a live performance by the Chicago-based band I Fight Dragons, a live stage show, Pokemon photo booth, and the opportunity to receive the mythical Pokemon Genesect for those who bring their DS or 3DS along with their copy of Pokemon Black 2 or White 2.  Fans can also check out a live Pokemon-themed ice sculpting and get a hands-on look at Pokedex 3D Pro prior to it's November 8th launch.

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Nintendo is hosting two special events in New York to celebrate the upcoming launch of Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 for the Nintendo DS family of portable video game systems. On Oct. 6 at the Nintendo World store from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., fans can gather for a chance to be among the first in the nation to purchase the games in advance of their Oct. 7 release. Additionally, the first 1,000 people in line to purchase either game will receive a unique Pokémon scarf, and all attendees will have the opportunity to take photos with costumed characters of Pokémon Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott.

A week later on Oct. 13, during New York Comic-Con, Pokémon fans can participate in a massive interactive experience at the nearby Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 Launch Celebration, enjoying a wide array of activities highlighting the imaginative fun of the Pokémon franchise. Planned activities include live performances from the Chicago-based band I Fight Dragons, a live stage show, a Pokémon photo booth, an opportunity to receive the mythical Pokémon Genesect for attendees who bring their Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo DS and copy of the game, hands-on time with Pokédex 3D Pro for Nintendo 3DS prior to its Nov. 8 launch and live Pokémon-themed ice sculpting.

Attendees who participate in the event’s activities will receive tickets that can be redeemed on-site during event hours for a variety of Pokémon giveaways (while supplies last). The Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 Launch Celebration will be open from noon to 8 p.m. at SIR Stage37 at 508 W. 37th St. (one block north of the Javits Center). A New York Comic-Con badge is not needed for admission to this free event. Event attendees who are interested in purchasing Pokémon Black Version 2 or Pokémon White Version 2 can take free Nintendo shuttles between the Javits Center, SIR Stage37 and the Nintendo World store during event hours.
