With all of the games from the last generation making a comeback in HD on the PS3 and Xbox 360, I have been secretly waiting for one title, or series, in particular to be given the remake treatment. As it turns out, I am getting my wish as Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX was announced back at the Tokyo Game Show. That, in itself is good news but unfortunately it was only announced for Japan.
The game, which is coming in 2013 for Sony’s PlayStation 3, is Square’s classic Disney-themed RPG in full high resolution with full trophy support. If ever there was a series that deserved a second passing, this is it. Now, if we can only see that it gets released over here and that the sequels are following suit in the near future. Perhaps this could be the build up fans have been waiting for that will lead to the inevitable Kingdom Hearts 3.
