One of this year's most anticipated game releases has arrived with
Borderlands 2 from
Gearbox Software and
2K Games. Excessive amount of loot to collect and enemies of all sorts to slay ensures that gamers will be busy adventuring through the world of Pandora into the foreseeable future. Be sure to read the recently posted
Borderlands 2 review from our own Nathaniel Cohen for his glowing thoughts on the game's various aspects.
Last night, I had a chance to sit down with the PC version of Borderlands 2 and was relieved to discover an extremely polished and optimized port of the game. Gearbox Software went above and beyond by incorporating many features that are frequently requested in PC ports including a FOV slider, remappable keybindings for both keyboard and mouse, PC specific interface, native multiplayer matchmaking, and LAN support to name a few. From the stunningly crisp graphics to the vast range of visual settings, Borderlands 2 delivers on the promises originally set by Gearbox Software for the game's PC version.
