Last week I mentioned that Medal of Honor: Warfighter's multiplayer looked more like Call of Duty than Battlefield; however, maybe that's not entirely the truth.
Medal of Honor: Warfighter's multiplayer has a couple of features that maybe sets it apart from not only Call of Duty, but Battlefield as well.
First is the "fighting buddy" system where you're matched with another player and become each other's fighting buddy. Much like the buddy system you might remember from summer camp swimming and hiking sessions, you're fighting buddy's well being is one of your chief concerns. Your buddy will always be outlined in white, and should they be mortally wounded, you have a chance to instantly respawn them on your six should you then killed your fighting buddy's killer.
The second is the support action system that initially seems like another take on CoD's infamous kill-streak perks, but maybe isn't, as they seem more about gaining a tactical advantage (or even straight-up defense) and less about rubbing your kill-streak-ness into the noses of all the other participants.
Check out the video narrated by Danger Close Creative Director of Multiplayer Kristoffer "Hoffe" Bergqvist for more complete details.
Medal of Honor: Warfighter is out on Oct 23.
