We knew that Sega was bringing its mascot racer back for another round, but now we know when. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed has been given an official release date of November 16, 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo 3DS. PC and Wii U versions are expected to follow shortly after.
The sequel to the surprisingly solid kart racer from 2010 is making an attempt to alter the formula a bit. Instead of confining racers to the kart, Transformed lets the race head to the skies and the seas as well. All of the vehicles will feature different transformation modes which will convert them into planes, boats, and who knows what else. All of your favorite Sega characters will be returning and even more may be joining the fray.
