EA has shown off the new versions of its long-running soccer series FIFA 13 and Madden 13 at Microsoft’s E3 press conference. In particular, the Kinect voice integration was shown off which will allow players to both call plays and coaching commands in real time using their actual voice.
Perhaps the slickest integration shown is the game’s ability to read and respond to your reactions to the referee decisions in FIFA 13. If you get too lippy with the ref’s, you might just end up with a penalty! Voice controls were also shown in detail for the upcoming Madden 13 release which allowed the player to select plays, call audibles, and issue player specific commands at will by simply calling out the names of players on their team.
Both games are scheduled for release later this Fall.
