DLC is coming to the soon to be released Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD and with it will come levels from in my opinion the best Tony Hawk game ever, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3.
I have so many memories of me and my friends passing the controller around playing this game at 3AM until my friends father yelled at us to go to bed.
The best part of this news is that Activision, Robomodo and the man himself Tony Hawk want you the fans to let them know what levels you want. What do I want? They have to put the airport in there. To give feedback on what levels you want make sure you visit their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/TonyHawksProSkaterHD and/or tell them via twitter @TonyHawksPSHD.
THPS:HD will be released this summer on PSN and XBLA for $15 but the release date and pricing of the DLC hasnt been determined yet.
Now there is still a question I have that will determine my purchase of this. Will the game have the original soundtracks? Because if not then ZERO BUYS! This is the same reason I refuse to buy Crazy Taxi on PSN or XBLA. I don't care if you don't have the rights to the song anymore, GET THEM AGAIN! These soundtracks were just as important to these games as the gameplay. They made the game. Imagine if they re-released Super Mario Brothers, Doom, or Mortal Kombat 2 today but all the levels had different music. It just wouldnt be the same.
I better hear this blasting through my speakers the SECOND I start the first level
FIRST TONY HAWK’S PRO SKATER HD DLC WILL BE LEVELS FROM THPS3
Activision Gathering Fan Feedback Now to Determine Final Content
After constant prodding and heartfelt pleading from fans, Activision has confirmed today that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD will get downloadable content. Going even further, it has been officially stated that first batch will include multiple levels from Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 – perhaps the most critically acclaimed game in the whole franchise. Ratcheting things up even further is the fact that the exact levels haven’t been decided yet, and Activision, Robomodo, and Tony Hawk himself want to hear from the fans to determine the final content of the DLC.
Hardcore fans may remember that Tony Hawk went on Twitter last summer to ask his fans their favorite THPS 1+2 levels, and that feedback played a role in the levels chosen for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD. It wasn’t an exact science – Tony still pushed to get Phoenix Downhill in there despite the fact it didn’t top the list – but other levels like Marseilles and School 2 made the cut because of the fans.
For the DLC, feedback on what THPS3 levels to include is being gathered via the game’s official Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/TonyHawksProSkaterHD). There is a post there now on the topic, so fans should Like the page then post their detailed thoughts in the Comments section. Activision, Robomodo, and Tony Hawk will scour every post and begin the hearty debates - but the Birdman himself will make the final call on the levels included.
Don’t forget folks, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD will be available to download on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network this Summer for about $15. An exact release date has yet to be confirmed. The DLC will be out after the game’s release, and pricing is to be determined. Keep an eye out for updates on Twitter @TonyHawksPSHD.
