The videogame industry has a birthday to celebrate. Free Realms, SOE's free to play, family friendly online game is celebrating its third year with a variety of celebration events for players.
Starting three years ago Free Realms has over 20 million registered users and their numbers continue to grow. Free Realms considers itself a massive world where people can do whatever they want from customizing their own virtual homes, adopting pets, participating in fun minigames, and battling it out with enemies on the battlefield.
If you would like to join in on the festivities, Free Realms is giving players special birthday hats and will offer a number of parties you can attend. You can also purchase birthday items in the in-game store including pinatas, birthday furniture and more. No word yet if there will be cake and ice cream.
Ive never played this game but from the press release it kinda sounds like Second Life... but for kids... and families... and adults most likely posing as younger kids. Ill stop right there.
