Rayman Origins was a fantastic game that didn't sell as well as it deserved. The gorgeous graphics and entertaining coop were prime examples of how 2D platformers can hold up in today's market, despite the sales record.
The new trailer for Rayman Legends on the Wii U shows promising gameplay, integrating mini games that could be a great distraction from the normal platforming. In addition, figures placed on the controller will be able to affect the gameplay, similar to the mechanic that Skylanders implemented in 2011. Hopefully that aspect doesn't become too gimmicky when the game releases though.
