My Saturdays (when I'm off work) consist of things that a lot of people do: eat breakfast, check email, and check Facebook. While looking at Facebook I noticed a post by
ScrewAttack that peaked my interest. According to them, during last night's Nintendo Drive live stream, Satoru Iwata revealed some info about the much talked about 2D Mario game that's currently in development. Turns out the game was revealed to be
New Super Mario Bros. 2 and will be coming out this August. While there wasn't much info yet, two things got my attention: a new gold power-up with no other info about it, and the long awaited return of Raccoon Mario.
After reading that article, I noticed a link to an article/press release on
Business Wire that mentioned Kirby. There wasn't much there, but it looks like Nintendo is planning an anniversary collection disc for the Wii that will contain past Kirby games to celebrate the pink puffball's 20th anniversary. Frankly, I'm all for that, especially if it contains the Kirby's Dreamland trilogy, or at least Kirby's Adventure. Please, just not Kirby's Air Ride.
