With the Major League Soccer season preparing to kick off this weekend,
EA Sports has stepped to the plate and revealed their predictions for the upcoming season. Utilizing a complete simulation of the season, powered by the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of
FIFA Soccer 12, EA predicts that the defending champion Los Angeles Galaxy will not only repeat their championship run, but set some records in the process.
EA Sports simulated the entire MLS season, for all 19 clubs, across all 34 regular season games. Int he simulation scenario, the Galaxy came out on top again this year with a record 75 total points and a 22-9-3 record. The simulation also predicted that Galaxy star Robbie Keane would win the 2012 Budweiser Golden Boot and rack up 19 goals this season.
These sorts of things are always fun to see and interesting to track as the season goes along. The final standings for the entire league is predicted to be the following:
