Square Enix and
United Front Games have released new screenshots of the upcoming third-person sandbox game
Sleeping Dogs, which was previously known as True Crime: Hong Kong. Gamers will take the role of an undercover agent with a mission to infiltrate the ranks of the Triads. After Activision canceled the project, Square Enix stepped in and saved the project from completely falling to the wayside. Square Enix was not able to acquire the True Crime IP rights, thus the reason behind the new name during the change of publishers.
Sleeping Dogs will be available in 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC.
