Resident Evil 6 begins taking shape

Capcom blindsided everyone with the announcement of Resident Evil 6 just a few short weeks ago. Sure, they showed us a nice and shiny trailer and announced the game for release later this year, but did they really tell us anything about the new game? Well, they may not have said much then but they are starting to dish on the details now. Capcom has released a slew of new screenshots and details regarding the upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game.
In Resident Evil 6, Chris Redfield will be heading to China, particularly the fictitious town of Lanshiang. Chris isn’t the only RE staple appearing in the game though as Leon Kennedy will also be returning as well. Leon and Chris will be joined by a cast of new characters including Helena Harper, Ingrid Hunnigan, and Adam Benford, all of whom you will learn to love (and hate) in the new game.
Of course, what would a Resident Evil game be without zombies? RE6 brings the undead in droves, and now they will be doing more than just slowly trailing you with their undead moans. The zombies of RE6 will run, jump, and use every weapon that they can get their hands on in order to take you down. It is also worth noting that Resident Evil 6 will feature an enhanced control system over the traditional RE games. This time around, you will be able to move while shooting, use your surroundings for cover, and use a variety of melee attacks unlike ever before.
