Yeah sure, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning has a fairly cartoonish art style, combat that's alledgedly copied from God of War, and it's published by "E(vil)A," but it's also got Ken Rolston on board as a shot-caller, and in case you missed it earlier this week, he ******* loves it. Maybe this trailer, called A New World to Discover, shows why. Either way, if you're not sold on the game yet, check it out. And if you are sold on it, check it out anyway.
News also hit today that Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoningwould ship with a dreaded online pass; and locked behind that pass would be a seven-part questline along with the bonus ME3-styled armor. I know I'm supposed to hate this kind of stuff, but I just can't drum up any rage for it. Sorry. I guess maybe when the trade-in business collapses, I'll be upset since I trade games in, but never buy them used. Again, please tell the Internet that I'm sorry for not being suitably enraged.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning hits stores on February 7th.
