Before you do anything else, I urge you to set aside a few minutes to watch the first official trailer for the upcoming indie title Dear Esther. There have been few times that a trailer of any sort has brought me to my emotional bounds of wonder and inspiration. For those unfamiliar with the likes of Dear Esther, it began as a experimental Source engine modification for Half-Life 2, and has now transitioned into a full-fledged commercial title.
The game has recently received four nominations at IGF, a review of 8/10 in Edge magazine, and an official store page on Steam. Now, the wait until its release on February 14 will be a struggle for me, and hopefully for you as well.
