The logical answer is "the next one" because there's no firm release window for 343 Industries' first original
Halo title,
Halo 4, and that every week there is a new report that "Xbox 720" is coming sooner rather than later. Apparently, however, if you said "the next one" you would be wrong. According to
IGN.com, 343's Frank O'Conner confirmed that
Halo 4, the first game in Master Chief's new trilogy, will arrive this generation rather than next using a version of the existing Halo engine. On one hand, it's great because it means more
Halo sooner rather than later; but on the other hand, it means
Halo 4 is probably going to be more evolution than revolution and that will naturally upset some fans.
What do you, our loyal readers think? Is more
Halo sooner better than later, or should 343 Industries hold off until they can give
Halo 4 the gift of more advanced hardware? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments.
